Dealing With Another Lock Down

It’s the news no one wanted to happen. Cases of Covid-19 are rising quickly once more across the UK, Europe and beyond. That means that we may be heading towards another full-blown lock down. Many restrictions are already in place. This will be hard for many, if not most, of us to take. So what can we do to get through such a difficult period? Here is what we think could help. Let’s look at dealing with another lock down.

Dealing With Another Lock Down. It’s Normal To Struggle

First off, let’s cut to the chase. It is totally normal to struggle many days. It might be more worrying if you were not. These are tough times for all, and we will all have low points during this year. It is a global pandemic, and many of us feel trapped. We cannot solve this issue, no one can. So we have to do the best we can with what we have. It might not feel like it, but there will be light at the end of the tunnel.

You Will Adapt

You already have after all. You have found new ways to fill time, to see and talk to friends, to buy groceries. You have done it once, and you can and will do it again. Again, do not think ever that there is no light at the end of the tunnel. Humans are resilient, and find a way to get through the most difficult of circumstances. You will find new ways to not only survive, but flourish under the restrictions placed on you and everyone else.

Do Not Feel Pressured To Use Time Certain Ways

You do NOT have to learn a new language or master pottery. How you deal with the situation we all find ourselves in is up to you, and you alone. Decide what you want to do with your time, and what will help you most get through it. Do not feel pressured to use every minute productively. I felt that way a lot earlier in the year, and it simply increased the stress i felt, even if i had half a day off. I felt like i was wasting my time.

Dealing With Another Lock Down. Goals

Setting goals has always get things done, as i do not consider myself to be very driven. And goals are certainly a useful tool to have right now.

I intend to make up for lost time. That’s something to look forward to, and something to aspire to. It helps me work hard so that i have the freedom when this is over to make the most of my life. That cancelled holiday will be had, those trips out will be made. They are just postponed, not cancelled.

Think Of What You Have Already Achieved.

You made it to this point, after all? Perhaps six months ago you thought you couldn’t do it, but here we all are. Making the most of the situation, and of what we have. and you can, and will do it again. Things will change, and new opportunities will present them to you.
