Financial Tips

With people continuing to struggle and make ends meet, we thought it pertinent to look at some more financial tips to help you make the most of your funds.

Subscriptions Can Go

I believe that the majority of us are enrolled to services that we rarely or never utilise! So go over your monthly expenses and see what you can cut off. I did the same thing and lowered a superfluous streaming site membership, got a better phone plan, terminated a Facebook site, and cut my Sky subscription. Over the course of a year, the savings amount to £600, which is enough to plan a vacation!

Planning

Create an excel spreadsheet or download an app, whichever is most convenient for you. However, keep track of your money transactions at all times. You may then refine them to live a more efficient life, eliminate waste, and stretch your dollars further.

Things For Free

Not everything in life has to cost money. There are loads of free things available, such as books. People give away stuff on sites, so check out what is available. And remember that some things are great 2nd hand. You do not have to buy everything new – am back at books again, for example.

Adjust Your Social Life

Be it coffee, alcohol or water, the more you drink at home rather than when in an expensive bar, the more you save. Adjust your schedule and have an extra drink or two at home before going out. It could save you a fortune over time, Loads of us spend a lot of money each week getting drinks on the go.

Financial Tips – Bulk Buying

Generally you get better value the more of something you purchase. The necessary thing to note though is that you should only buy things you know you will use and that you know you need. There is no value for money if items go to waste. We all have items gathering dust in cupboards after all.

Financial Tips – Receipts

Keep all your financial paperwork, and receipts for things you buy. You never know when you may need it. Of course we live in an increasingly paperless environment nowadays, which is great, but that just means you should know digitally where everything is. You should arrange your files to access your financial records easily when you require to do so. Know your passwords, and keep your eye on your online records.

Disciplined Purchasing

If this refers to you, then delete all those subscription emails that bombard you with seemingly wonderful offers and the temptation is immediately reduced to make buys of items you do not need.
