The Best UK Loyalty Schemes

At Moolr, we are always looking for ways to save our customers money and make the pennies go further. With that in mind, we’ve taken a look at the best UK loyalty schemes. With these schemes, you can make plenty of money back and earn some cash for a rainy day.

Tesco Clubcard

With Tesco Clubcard, you collect one point for every £1 spent in store or online, and one point for every £2 spent on fuel at Tesco or Esso garages. There are also plenty of opportunities to collect Clubcard points from a range of other Tesco products, including Tesco Mobile, Tesco Bank, and members also receive discounts on Tesco home, car, pet and travel insurance.

Thus by carrying out normal purchases, you can accumulate rewards. Every 150 clubcard points equates to £1.50. They can be spent at Tesco, but also at a range of other outlets such as the RAC, Virgin Atlantic or LeCheck their site online, to see the full range of offers.

The Best UK Loyalty Schemes – Nectar

It will not surprise you that Sainsbury’s reward scheme is similar to that of Tesco’s. Do your shopping and the more you spend, the more rewards you receive. Points accumulated may even be doubled for selected rewards during offer periods.

what’s more, you can collect Nectar points from a wide range of retailers, including BP, Argos, Sky, RAC and Sainsbury’s. You earn one Nectar point for every £1 you spend at Sainsbury’s, though some of the other retailers may sporadically offer greater rewards per pound spent. There are over 500 brands part of the Nectar reward scheme too, so there are many ways to collect points.

You’ll be able to boost your points by taking out one of Nectar’s credit cards, and be able to earn up to 3 points for every £1 you spend. There are numerous other bonus offers that will appear that allows you to raise your points total. Like Tesco’s Clubcard scheme, you can spend your Nectar points on days out, flights or at your favourite restaurants. You can also use your points to receive money off purchases by swiping your card at the checkout or using it online. Over time you can amass a really healthy total.

IKEA Family Card

With an IKEA Family Card, you’ll save money on a range of products across the store and enjoy an extra 10% off sale prices. So, if you are a regular user of the store, them this card could be very beneficial to you. As a Family Card holder, you can also take advantage of monthly deals on selected products across the store and are entitled to free product insurance, so you’re protected against any accidental damages during delivery or assembly. There’s also bonus offers and regular prizes to be won. Plus free tea or coffee in-store!

The Best UK Loyalty Schemes – Boots Advantage Card

The Boots Advantage Card offers four points for every £1 spent in store or online. With each point worth one penny, it’s easy to rack up the points and earn some great discounts if you’re a regular shopper. Points can be redeemed against most items in store, however you must have enough points to cover the whole cost of the item you’re purchasing.

In addition. Boots will offer regular money off vouchers and boosts to your points total. Like Sainsbury’s they will also sporadically offer double points promotions. In the past, I have used my points to buy from their gift section, as presents for friends and family – all free of charge! Their opticians also offer a scheme that comes with a raft of discounts and offers.

Like all the other loyalty cards, it’s important to remember that points don’t always equal cash, so always shop around for the best deals if you’re trying to save money. The best way to top up your points is at bonus events, and it’s not worth collecting a few extra points at the expense of saving a few pounds in cash.

Top Cashback, Quidco etc

This has been a real money-maker for me. I have made hundreds of pounds just by switching my satellite TV provider. Sites like this offer you money back when you go to certain retailer sites online via their site, and then make a purchase. Some of the cashback is hefty, though you have to wait a few weeks or more to receive the money. However, if you are ever planning to make an online purchase, check to see if you can get a discount by routing through one of these sites. You have nothing to lose. For signing up with a well-known satellite TV provider, I received a £120 reward, and a free TV direct from the company itself.

Plan Ahead

Take some time to plan what you’re going to spend your rewards on. Perhaps you could renew your RAC membership if it’s coming to an end. If it’s something you would have bought anyway, then you know you’re getting a great deal. The key is that if you wish to save money via these schemes, then try and use the points on things you would have purchased anyway. for others, you may just wish to use the loyalty cards as an excuse to reward yourself with some treats.
