Good Pandemic Habits

It’s fair to say that most of us have changed how we live our lives over the past couple of years. Bust some good can come from it. We examined some good pandemic habits.

Good Pandemic Habits – Supporting Your Community

Early in the epidemic, there was a genuine sense of camaraderie that was likely at least partially lost when tolerance wore thin in later lockdowns. Then he died. For me, part of that was relying on local services rather than the huge stores, which may be dangerous. Over the last year, I’ve used local butchers more, had fruit delivered by a greengrocer, and purchased eggs from a local farm. It’s also satisfying to watch your business go to someone with a face. With so many small businesses unavoidably struggling right now, try to help out as much as you can.

Communication

Despite being locked at home alone for almost a year, I believe I have spoken to more individuals than at any other point in my life. It hasn’t stopped, from government-approved bubble walks with a pal to Zoom conversations, my podcasts, internet discussions, and more! That is a nice thing. Especially for men, who are less likely than women to talk about their concerns. Even if we are unable to see our friends and family in person, we should be able to maintain contact with them until normalcy has returned. Like most of us, I regret allowing friendships to wander in the past due to a lack of effort.

Exercise Regime

When the first lockdown happened, I reduced the amount of exercise I got because I wasn’t walking to the store a few times a week. My weekly badminton game was also cancelled. In reality, out of the last twelve months, I’ve only played for around three. However, the need to get out and get the heart thumping grew stronger over time. So now, every Saturday, I try to go for a lengthy walk. Hopefully, I’ll maintain doing this even when I’m able to play badminton again and my shopping routine returns to normal. The more I become older, the more I realise how crucial it is to exercise at least a couple times per week. It’s beneficial even if you only walk around the block once.

Use Your Time Wisely

When I’m stuck at home, I have the feeling that I’ve had too much time on some days, and that filling it has been stressful. However, the previous year has made me reconsider how I spend my time. Maybe I’ve thought about it a little too much at times! However, there is a silver lining to having to rearrange our workdays. On how to make the most of our time in order to achieve more fulfilment. At the very least, it’s something to consider.

Good Pandemic Habits – Financial Reassessment

For me, the epidemic was a great eye-opener. It showed me how I had been neglecting my precarious financial circumstances. Over the last year, I’ve taken significant steps to rectify this. I still have a lot of work ahead of me. But one thing I’ve learnt from all of this is that I can’t ignore my money account in the future. If I can’t afford anything, I need to learn to say no. I’ll have to make some compromises. One of my most pressing ambitions is to continue to improve my money management and budgeting skills. I’ve recently cut out unnecessary memberships and given more thought to how I spend the money I earn. I hope this trend continues well into the future.
